I've been a faculty Instructional Specialist with Disabled Student Programs & Services since 1991, after being hired on a grant (1988), then hourly (1989), then full-time (1991).  My background includes Masters degrees in Speech-Language Pathology (University of Michigan) and in Educational Psychology (Capella University), and I worked for over 10 years in medical rehabilitation before coming to Mt. SAC.  I've always been fascinated by the brain and how we learn, which has sparked my interests in brain injury, seizure disorders, and memory, as well as my interest in how mathematics is learned.

I teach credit classes in Memory Strategies (DSPS 31) and Strategies for Success in Mathematics (DSPS 33), work with students in our Acquired Brain Injury program and our High Tech Center areas, and I meet with students - primarily consulting on brain-injury, memory or math issues.
